This document clarifies the agreement between you, the client, and us, covering essential topics like service delivery, payments, responsibilities, insurance, and dispute resolution. Comprehensive Overview of Service Terms and Payment Agreements

 

1. Financial Commitments and Booking Procedures

  • Initial Booking Deposit: A booking deposit of $100 is required to confirm your move date, secure a binding quote, and ensure the allocation of the requested moving services. This deposit is mandatory and must be settled within 24 hours from the issuance of your booking confirmation. Failure to comply may result in adjustments to the quoted price or the cancellation of services.
  • Enhanced Deposit for Large Moves: For services exceeding $2,000, a deposit constituting 10% of the total estimated cost is required at the time of booking. This is to secure the extensive resources necessary for larger operations.
  • Deposit Refund Policy: Deposits are fully refundable if a cancellation request is submitted in writing up to one business day before the scheduled move date. Processing of refunds will occur within five business days.
  • Balance Payment Details: The remaining balance for your moving services is due one business day prior to the scheduled move. Payment methods and detailed protocols are provided to ensure clear understanding and compliance.

2. Cancellation, Rescheduling, and Additional Charges

  • Cancellation and Rescheduling: Clear guidelines are provided for canceling or rescheduling your move, including the required notice period to avoid penalties and ensure the return of your deposit.
  • Unforeseen Charges: Should additional services or circumstances arise beyond the initial agreement, such as extra items not listed in your inventory or specialized handling requirements, relevant charges will be applied according to the specific conditions encountered.

3. Insurance Coverage and Liability

  • PROTECTION AND COVERAGE: Included in moving service pricing is standard statutory mover’s liability coverage of 0.60 cents per pound, per article. Please refer to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s guidelines available at [this link]. If you have a high value item(s) we strongly suggest you purchase 3rd party insurance 72 hrs prior to your Moving day, as we are only liable to pay $0.60 cents per pound per item if the item is damaged or lost.
  • Additional coverage option, OnlineMovers VIP Protection Plan (up to $10.000 protection), is available for purchase in the sum of $495.00 and requires a deductible of $1.500.00.  If we are retained to provide storage services into a Online Movers and Storage Facility following the completion of moving services is complete, and the OnlineMovers VIP Protection Plan was purchased, service concludes at the move into storage service point.  Should we move you into a public, private storage or otherwise outside of an Online Movers and storage facility, Online Movers liability concludes upon delivery. 
  • You may also obtain additional and FULL protection/insurance coverage, if elected at your expense through www.movinginsurance.com or a provider of your choice.

4. Certificate of Insurance (COI) Requirements

  • Provision of COI: ONLINE MOVERS CORP facilitates the issuance of a Certificate of Insurance if required, detailing our adherence to building management insurance requirements and ensuring seamless service execution.

5. Claim Submission and Resolution

  • Structured Claims Process: A formal procedure is established for the submission and handling of claims post-service, ensuring transparency and efficiency in addressing any concerns or damages.

6. Crew Safety and Conduct

  • Safety Training and Expectations: Our crew receives extensive training in safety protocols and customer service, ensuring a respectful and secure moving experience.

7. Contactless Moving Services

  • Guidelines for Contactless Moves: For clients unable to be present during the move, we offer detailed provisions for contactless services, maintaining communication and oversight remotely to ensure service integrity.

8. Detailed Long-Distance Moving Options

  • Service Options for Long-Distance Moves: We provide explicit descriptions of our long-distance moving options, including Consolidated Shipping and Exclusive Straight Delivery, tailored to meet diverse client needs.

9. Storage Services Framework

  • Comprehensive Storage Solutions: Policies surrounding our secure storage facilities, payment terms, access regulations, and prohibited items are clearly defined to manage expectations and service quality.
  • STORAGE/OVERNIGHT HOLD: If you need to store your items overnight, service is available at a cost starting at $595 per night, and the minimum labor and travel fee will also apply the following day. In the event you need storage, we offer 8’x8’x8’ secured storage units starting at $250 each per month. The storage facility is non-accessible to the public, however, if you need to access your storage vault(s), there is a $150 access fee per unit.. This fee is assessed to cover labor for our warehouseman arranging access to your unit(s).  Online Movers and Storage will not transport or be responsible for bank bills, coin or currency, deeds, notes, drafts or valuable papers of any kind, jewelry, postage, revenue stamps, stamp collections, precious stones or articles of particularly inherent or extraordinary value, precious metals or articles manufactured therefrom, medications of any kind, firearms, ammunition, anything flammable or combustible.

10. Expert Packing and Unpacking Services

  • Professional Packing Services: We offer extensive packing and unpacking options, ensuring your belongings are well-protected throughout the moving process, with additional services available for specific packing needs.

11. Promotions

  • Promotional offers are exclusive and not combinable.
